Details about Manipal University Engineering Admission

Manipal University Online Entrance Test is commonly known as MU OET. It is an online entrance test organized to pursue admissions to undergraduate courses of engineering at three institutes of technology affiliated to the Manipal University which are located at Manipal, Jaipur and Sikkim. These online tests will be organized in a number of cities in month of April 2017 to May 2017. Successful candidates who clear the entrance test will be provided admissions on the basis of rank in All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test 2017 and as much as a minimum of 50% marks which are required to qualify in entrance exam. The exam is organized from 12th Class syllabus. Detailed syllabus is available on the sanctioned website i.e. www.admissions.manipal.edu

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed in 12thClass or A Level or American 12th grade or equivalent with a minimum mark of 50% in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subject which is mandatory.
  • Candidates must have studied English, Mathematics and Physics as main subjects with optional subjects being either Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology.
  • The date of birth of the candidates must be on or before December 31st 1998

Application form-

Application Form of the entrance exam will be available online from October 20th, 2016 and onwards.Candidates need to submit the applications till March 2017.

Candidates seeking admissions in undergraduate engineering courses in Manipal University have to fill and submit Application Form of the entrance test firstly in order to give the online entrance test. It is mandatory for the candidates to provide all the basic information like Contact details,Education qualifications, Selection of preference of the Courses, and confirmation of submitting the form.

Exam Pattern-

The entrance test will be of 2 hours and 30 min in duration
Total of 200 questions will be asked which are distributed as follows:

  • Mathematics-70 questions
  • Chemistry- 50 questions
  • Physics- 50 questions
  • English and Aptitude- 30 questions

Availability of Applications: October 2016

Submission of Applications: March 2017

Online Test Booking Schedule in the month of March 2017

Online Entrance tests in the month of April-May 2017

Declaration of Results in the month of May 2017

Date of Counseling in the month of June 2017

Admit Card:

Hall Ticket of the MUOET 2017 entrance exam is compulsory for appearing in online entrance test.
The Electronic Hall Ticket is a mandatory document of candidate’s identity that had information about the hall ticket number, course applied, address of the exam centre and date & time of the test.

The Hall ticketwill be generated by system after 24 hours from the time candidate has booked his/her schedule for online test booking system (OTBS).

The admit card will only be issued to those candidates, who have already booked their slots.
If there is any disparity or variation, applicants need to bring it to the notice of Manipal University
