Different types of Residential water Heaters

There are plenty of manufacturers, who are engaged into manufacturing water heaters with multiple features. Water heaters are important in residential places, since hot water would be used for different purposes. Depending on the weather conditions, water heaters or water geysers usage would be decided. Most of the electric heaters consume electricity to produce hot water and consumes minimal amount of time. Extreme cold conditions would be in need of a water heater badly, as hot water would be used to drink, cook food and to bathe. Residential water heaters come in different varieties with a wide range of options.

  1. Storage water heater

Storage water heater is the traditional heater, where water would be stored in the tank and heats up based on the capacity. A storage water heaters consumes less amount of electricity, since it does not waste water from the heater tank. As we fill water from the tank, fresh water fills into the tank back again to heat up again. Most of the heaters are supposed to be handled manually by keeping a track of time.

  1. Instant water heater

Instant water heaters or I R Heaters are pretty expensive compared to a storage heater. Instant water geyser heats up the water with the help of a laser or Infra-red rays, as it passes from the tank to the tap. Instant water geyser consumes more electricity compared to a storage water heater, since it uses laser technology to heat the water.
