How leather jackets are manufactured?

Cow hide and Sheepskin is widely popular and apart from the hides of Antelope, buckskin, and lambskin.  After these animals are used for meat production the skin is removed and preserved in the brine barrels and then it is transported to the tannery department.  They are refrigerated until further use. Stringent quality control is applied to make sure that the highest quality end product can be obtained from the hides.  Along with the hides other materials in the production of the leathers jackets are buttons, snaps, lining, steam tape, thread and zippers.  When we know how they are manufactured we feel proud that we own such an exclusive leather garments in our wardrobe. 

Leather jackets for women has become fashion epitome and they simply love to wear these as they can feel the enormous effect and impact of leather jackets in their surroundings.  All accessories necessary for the sewing and finishing is purchased by the outside vendors and they are stored at the factory warehouse.  Now let us go through the primary phases of the using these hides.  The process is given as follows.

Cleaning of the hides is carried so that all the dirt, meat particles, and growth stimulating proteins present in the hides are removed successfully so that there will be no pathogen attack.  Suitable bactericides and detergents are used to clean the hides so that the hides are completely clean enough to pass through the next phase.  In the next stage the hairs are removed by using appropriate chemicals and lime solution along with scrubbing machines.  These scrubbing machines are fitted with the scrappers and they remove hairs from the hides.  Then the lime solution is removed from the skin and it is further treated with the acid solution and bated to remove the presence of collagen.  Enzymes are used to remove the collagen, after this stage they are soaked in the salt and acid sulfuric solution.

The next important process is tanning.  Depending upon the type of tanning treatment required they are soaked in different types of concentrated solutions from 12 days to several weeks to get properly tanned hide.  Oil tanning is carried out to get soft and required hue and color and finish.  After this they are washed finally and passed through the conveyor belt towards drying tunnel where they are treated to remove all the wetness.  After drying process is completed they are buffed to provide smooth finish.  After this dying is carried out to provide suitable color, glaze and then it is applied with lacquer.  The cutting, sewing and finishing of the materials takes place.
