A handful of Charity Organizations in Bangalore is doing their best in various fields of human need. One such is Sitaram Jindal Foundation
This Trust is working with zeal to help the poor and needy gain quality medicinal facilities at doorstep at practically no cost.
SJF runs the Manav Charitable Hospital, which is one of the leading charitable hospitals in Bangalore and has been established in 1990, to cater to the medical needs of rural people in the vicinity of Jindal Nagar. It is equipped with latest medical equipments as also specialist doctors in as many as 16. It also has accomplished eye OT provided with a phaco emulsifier machine, also a minor OT, and top class imaging facility such as CT, 2D Eco, ultrasound, mammography etc. It is primarily meant for patients who are below poverty line (BPL) and attendance is as high as more than 1000 a day. It is also provided with limited number of in-patient facility, and free medicine for poor.
Apart from the above, it sends 4 mobile dispensaries which treat another 4000 patients a day.
The Foundation runs another hospital named Jindal Charitable Hospital in Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore and a chain of hospitals in New Delhi.
Apart from mainstream medical facility, The Foundation also has a hospital for drugless medical care. That is the world famous Jindal Naturecure Institute, Bangalore that aims to make people become aware of preventive care with life-style corrections , and therapies which are natural , without the use of harmful side effects of medicines.
