Cleanliness is next to Godliness. A commercial complex is visited by a huge number of people and thus it should have a restroom. Maintaining proper hygienic conditions in a restroom is essential if you want to uphold high sanitary standards in a commercial or official complex. In order to do so, the restroom should be equipped with these basic accessories which are listed as follows.

1.Restroom Cubicles

A commercial complex should have separate male and female restrooms. A powder room should essentially consist of restroom cubicles to furnish individual enclosures for every user. While installing these cubicles, it is important to check three things in it, those are:

 1. The space that is secured by each enclosure. It should be neither too congested nor extra-spacious. These should be designed in a manner to facilitate proper utilization of space with an adequate number of cubicles.

 2. The cubicle surface should be covered up with non-corrosive material like laminates to increase its durability.

 3. These cubicles should have a flexible yet sturdy locking system so that the lock can be easily secured from inside and can be broken open from the outside only in case of emergencies.

A complex, which has a bathing section, should have separate modular shower enclosures. There are different types of shower enclosures available in the market that are made of glass, fiberglass etc.

2. Restroom urinal partitions

While a female restroom should have restroom cubicles, a male restroom should have both cubicles and urinals with partitions. There are two types of depths that are available for these commercial toilet partitions, which are 450 mm and 550 mm. These dividers feature an L - shaped clamp that is used to fasten these to the wall.

3. Handholds and Toilet tissue holder

Since a restroom can be visited by people of different age groups and abilities, it is important to make sure that it is equipped with accessories which make it accessible to all. One such accessory is handholds that are available in different shapes and sizes that are essential for the old and the physically disabled people.

Also, a cubicle should have a toilet tissue holder to maintain hygienic standards in the restroom. The toilet tissue holder should support the roll in a manner that it doesn’t slip away and fall down when unrolled.

4. One touch Soap Dispensers

It is better to provide a one touch liquid soap dispenser in the restroom to facilitate easy dispensing of soap. It ensures that each drop of the soap is pure and untouched.

5. Hand Dryer

Hand Dryer is an important accessory in a public restroom because every person visiting the restroom may not carry a handkerchief to wipe off the water from the hands after using the washroom. A hand dryer is mounted on a wall at a height that is accessible by all.

6. Napkin Vendors

Napkins are an alternative to hand dryer and it can be used to wipe off water from the face as well. These are more hygienic than the hand dryers and can be disposed off very easily.
