Why Your Business Needs IT Security?

Ireland is fast proving itself as a serious player in the global IT security market. Both Cork and Dublin are becoming hubs for companies who deliver IT Security and IT Support. Ireland’s position as an English-speaking country within the EU is attracting global IT Security firms to open here as they can access a highly skilled European workforce.

Many indigenous companies in Ireland are also beginning to make serious strides in the IT Security space. Some of these are traditional IT Services and IT Support companies who have specialised in cyber security solutions or expanded their existing portfolio to include IT Security recognising the growth in the area in recent years.

More and more instances of cyber crime within companies that fall into the SME bracket is creating new demand for IT Security services in Ireland. Many companies of this size had thought themselves not big enough to be targeted by cyber criminals but this is no longer the case. Increased penalties around data breaches and more stringent privacy rules will force companies into considering what IT Security solutions they have in place and what IT support they need to ensure the security of their data. 

IT Security, Disaster Recovery and IT Support should be paramount concerns among senior management. The good news is that the influx of global security solutions providers coupled with the many home grown companies in Ireland give the many companies that choose to locate in hubs such as Dublin, Cork and Galway lots of choice for IT Security solutions.
