Chlamydia trachomatis is a bacterium which causes a sexually transmitted infection. Chlamydia is very common disease, which should be taken very seriously. The most worrying effect of a chlamydia infection in women is that of potential fertility problems (PID, infertility, etc.), due to inflammation of the fallopian tubes or cervix. This disease is particularly common among young people.

Chemtrue® One-Step Chlamydia rapid test is intended for in vitro diagnosis use in the rapid, qualitative detection of Chlamydia trachomatis directly from female endocervical swab and male urethral swab, in addition to ocular specimens from symptomatic patients.
