Aluminum being a unique metal which is non-inflammable, nontoxic in nature which can be recycled infinitely also promotes green building certification. Aluminium can be coloured in many shades after surface treatment process like Powder Coating, Anodizing, PVDF to suit any décor. UPVC offer choice of limited colours which may not be aesthetically suitable.
UPVC windows degrade over many years. Aluminium, however, is a much more robust compound and with proper care will stand the test of time without compromise. One of the ongoing complaints with UPVC, is the thickness of the profile (the frame). Aluminium due to its strength, the frames can be made much thinner.
