Eyelid mal-positioning: In some cases, an eyelid may be displaced due to a congenital defect or due to an injury. When the eyelid turns inward towards the eye, the condition is called entropion and when it turns outwards, the condition is called ectropion. The eyelid position in both the cases is corrected by tightening of the related muscles and eyelid attachments.
