Land surveys are typically conducted to determine boundary lines, but there are other reasons why they are conducted. In fact, there are many different reasons why you may need a land surveyor. Here are some of them:

You are buying a new home – When buying a house, it is important to ensure that you are getting exactly what you are paying for. Hence, hiring a land surveyor is a smart move that may help prevent future issues like boundary disputes. Land surveys should be treated as mandatory when buying any form of real estate property to verify that there are no missing corners and neighboring property owners have not encroached on yours.

You are expanding your property – Before you build a swimming pool, a new shed, or add a new room or building to your home or business, it is essential to hire a land surveyor to make sure that you are building within your property lines. This way, you can avoid property disputes with your neighbors.

There are encroachments – Your neighbor may not know it, but he may have installed that new fence or built a new structure on your property.
