How To Max The Myntra EORS 2017 Experience

Posted by parisha kumari on January 4th, 2017

EORS, the now-well-known abbreviation for Myntra’s End of Reason Sale 2017, began by notching up both order count and revenue of high value, within 30 minutes of the start of the sale.

That wasn’t surprising, considering the unfading popularity of Myntra in the face of demonetization, the move from desktop to app only to both desk and app, and whatnot.

The whole of India seems to have spent the days prior to the sale in making wishlists, which gave them VIP Pass entry to the sale. If you were not part of the brigade but still want to capitalise on the Myntra sale, here’s how to do it:

Remember, it’s from January 3-5, so 5th January is the last day for you to overcome any hesitation that you still might have and get ready for the kill.

First of all, start at home. Take a peek into your cupboard and do a real check on what you need and what you don’t (which you can, of course, give away). You need to do this before a sale because you are creating a new wardrobe, remember, and so have to necessarily discard some to create space, which is always at a premium.

Once you have made this crucial decision, create a wishlist in your mind before you create one on the Myntra app or website. What is the latest fashion must-have you need in your wardrobe or have been craving for a while before you were hit by the post-Demonetisation cash crunch.

Of course, while your wishlist might be a star-spangled affair, but it would be wise to first get your basics right if you don’t wish to be knocked down by the neon lights of a grand sale. A pair of blue jeans, a white shirt, a leather handbag and a pair of leather shoes are what you should go for, at first. Then, you might venture into new waters.

If you still have mad money left, go for anything wild you might fancy. Or else, if you still wish to tread softly, plan for the next season (yes, even summer) and stock up for it. Or else, if there’s a big event coming up, work-related or domestic, do buy an outfit keeping that occasion in mind.

Focussed on the shoppoing, don’t forget to have a fully charged mobile handset or laptop before you sit down to log into the sale. Only when you are thus technologically equipped, will you be able to make the most of the sale as you might have to navigate through hundreds of pages.

Myntra itself has described its End of Reason Sale, being held from January 3-5, 2017, as the biggest fashion sale in the country. It’s the fifth edition of the sale this year, and about 3.5 lakh products are up for grabs, with discounts as high as 80 per cent.

Detailing about the campaign, Gunjan Soni, CMO & Head, International Brands Business, Myntra, said, “The size and reach of our marketing campaign for the upcoming ‘End of Reason Sale’ is unprecedented. We have come up with an array of innovative activities to engage with our customers. We are doing a take on the Mannequin Challenge to reveal the prices of products, using gamification to drive traffic, and doing a focused regional push on digital.”
