Having a fancy highly sophisticated Android phone that can do a huge variety of tasks can be fun. However, after some time, you may notice that the apps in the Android device take longer to open or run. You can also see that the transition between screens starts to get slow which can be devastating. Your device is no longer as speedy as it was before. Many people with Android devices encounter this problem. Luckily, there are a few strategies that you can employ to get you Android device to the Speed Racer mode.

· Delete the apps you don’t use - You may have downloaded some apps, used them for a while but then stopped using them. These apps take up take up memory blocks, minimize your storage and use resources such as CPU cycles for background cycles and ultimately slow down your device. Delete all apps tat you are not using by going to app manager then uninstalling it.

· Clean up storage space - Your device may clutter after some time. Delete all pictures you do not need. Proceed to delete all videos you no longer need by opening the gallery app and choosing the ones you have to get rid of. You can also open the downloads folder and find all sound clips, zip files, images or files you no longer need. Go to settings and choose the Misc. entry to access the storage page. You will see miscellaneous files you can delete for more storage space. 

· Clear cached data - Cached data is a form of local storage that ensures you do not need to download every time you open the app. Nonetheless, apps you do not need will often have cached data taking up your device’s space causing apps to misbehave. Clear any out of date cache data for the specific apps that you no longer need to speed up your device.

· SD card - A slow SD card will slow down your device. You should back up the card or format it to ensure its is clean and functional before putting files back on it.

· Factory reset - While resetting a device is time-consuming, it is profoundly effecting in enhancing the speed of your device. Factory resetting clears everything and takes your device to a new condition. While firmware updates will still be in place, your text messages may disappear giving you a fresh start.
