There are two types of death in osrs. Safe death and non-safe death. On safe death you keep items and on non-safe death you lose them. Hardcore Ironman Achievements status is lost upon any non-safe death... along with your items.. but they will stay on the ground for 1h so i guess thats something... : raids are very dangerous for Hardcore Ironman Achievements and UIM especially. as far as i know, there's no guarantee that you wont get kicked from your party, dc, or finish the raid before you can pick up your items.
