The factors drawing more and more Indian students to the Czech Republic for high

Scholarships

Two scholarships are offered by the Czech government to the students residing in India for PHD study in Tropical and Sub-tropical agriculture ,agriculture, forestry ,environmental science, nuclear engineering, mining and geology.

Application for scholarship should reach the Czech ministry of Education, youth and sport by 31st March.

Scholarships are granted only to those students who are nominated by the respective foreign government agencies or by the Czech diplomatic missions. They are entitled to free boarding and lodging, coverage of course and free access to cultural events which are part of the programmes.

Eligibility required

Aspiring candidates should have a good academic record and secure at least 60% marks in the related subject in Master’s.

Students should be within 35 years of age and provide a proper summary of topics and the questions related to the study

Candidates should have at least 2 years teaching/ practical experience in their subject of study. Completion of MPhil is counted as equivalent to 1 year of experience.

In case selected candidates are found to have a lack of Czech knowledge, they are advised to undergo a 6-12 months course immediately.

Application

Application is free and should be submitted on a plain paper mentioning the scholarship applied for along with a recent passport photo and the required attested documents to the Section Officer, Ministry of the Human Resource Development in New Delhi.

The Czech government has its own method of selection. The candidate may also be called for a personal interview if required.

And finally the documents needed for the VISA.

They are offered at various levels of proficiency, seminars on the Czech literature, culture and history, free-time activity including theatrical, musical and dance performances, trips and tours.

They are held during the summer months (July-September) and continue for 2-4 weeks as per the course content.

The language programmes at a glance:

Preparatory course-It is for the high school leavers. It increases their chance of clearing the Czech entrance exam and prepares them for studies in the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral studies.

Intensive Czech language courses-It is for those who need to learn the language quickly and well for work or everyday situation. Generally take six weeks to a year.

Morning and evening courses of Czech-It is for those who cannot take daily tuition. Classes are held once or twice a week. Learners are offered the courses over the Skype.
