Products That Can Help You to Get Rid of Acne

Acne is a disease that affects the skin’s oil glands. There are small pores in our skin that are connected to oil glands under the skin by a follicle. Sometimes, these pores can get blocked by oil, bacteria, dead skin cells, and dirt resulting in clogged pores. When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, it leads to the growth of a pimple. If the skin is repeatedly affected by this condition, it is known as acne.

Acne is a common skin disease that normally affects the face and sometimes, the skin on the back and chest area as well. At times, the local symptoms of acne may cause pain and irritate the skin. It is always better not to touch the pimples with your hands to avoid spreading of acne over the rest of the skin.

Acne can be painful especially when the condition is severe. It may start affecting one’s self-confidence and self-esteem. In some cases, where the condition is not treated by a dermatologist, permanent blemishes can make the skin look scarred.

There are many natural products that can help one deal with acne. These products are easily available at home and in the local markets.

Aloe vera has healing properties that enable it to soothe and moisturize your skin as well as fight inflammation caused by acne. You can use aloe vera gel, directly from the leaf of the plant or use an aloe vera-based product to deal with acne.

Another important and useful ingredient to fight acne is Bentonite Clay. This clay removes toxins from the pores of the skin and allows the skin to heal while reducing inflammation. Hazelnut oil also nourishes and hydrates the skin cells. It helps in skin cell regeneration and helps in reducing redness caused by severe acne.

Topical solutions in the form of a cream or gel are also effective since they help remove excess oil from the facial skin. These products also balance the pH level of your skin making it difficult for the bacteria responsible for acne to thrive. A face toner may also help remove excess oil from the pores of the skin.

One must consume plenty of water to stay sufficiently hydrated. Eat a balanced and a healthy diet, which includes fresh fruits and vegetables and avoid the intake of oil-rich, canned or fast food. It is advisable to wash your face at least twice a day with a gentle oil-free cleanser. One must also avoid using makeup that contains oil. Always remember to remove makeup before going to bed. Consult a dermatologist to deal with the cause of acne to get rid of it.
