Magne-Blast is a removable and interchangeable circuit interrupting element used in the metal-clad circuit breakers. The primary connections to the associated metal-clad switchgear are made through the ball contacts that are located at the top of the breaker bushings. 

Operating Mechanism: The operating mechanism is of the ML-13 stored energy type which is designed to give high-speed opening and closing. The mechanism operates on AC or DC voltage as indicated on the breaker nameplate. The closing and opening operations are controlled either electrically from the metal-clad unit and remote location or mechanically from the manual close and trip levers on the breaker. The secondary connections from the breaker to the metal-clad unit are made through the coupler.
