Tennis aficionados considering investing in a Westlake Hills luxury home have many options when it comes to conveniently located tennis facilities. A number of country clubs, as well as public courts and high school facilities, are in the immediate vicinity, and serious tennis enthusiasts have another option in The Courtyard Tennis and Swim Club, a state-of-the-art tennis facility in the Westlake Hills area.

The Courtyard is a private tennis club located off of Loop 360 near the Pennybacker Bridge. The club is perched just above the Colorado River, and the cliffs nearby offer views of magnificent Westlake Hills luxury homes among spectacular southern vistas, but the most welcome view for tennis players will be of the perfectly maintained 14 outdoor hard courts in the courtyard. The club also boasts two indoor hard courts so members may play even in inclement weather. The veritable plethora of outdoor courts ensures that court availability is rarely an issue, and the courts are well-lighted for evening use.

While the Courtyard is primarily a tennis facility, it is also a swim club and features a Baby-Olympic sized lap pool with multiple lanes for lap swimming, as well as a smaller pool for family swimming. The deck area has reclining chairs and tables, as well as covered areas and trees for shade. The club also offers a junior swimming program through Capital of Texas Aquatics, available to youth members. For family swim, guarded swim hours are seasonal but usually roughly correspond with club hours.

Other amenities the Courtyard offers include a snack bar, offering sandwiches, burgers, and casual small plates; a bar offering beer and wine, as well as a large screen television for keeping up on the scores from the big game and a patio view of the outdoor courts; and a small workout facility, featuring free-weights and weight machines, as well as yoga mats and exercise balls to help a player loosen up before or after hitting the courts.
