As the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend nears, New Jordans 2017 officially unveils its collection of sneakers for the event. Despite All-Star Weekend being relocated from Charlotte to New Orleans due to controversy behind North Carolina's bathroom bill, the Charlotte Hornets still channels through the collection. Fittingly named the Air Jordan 31 All Star, this colorway takes inspiration from the city that was supposed to host the 2017 All Star Weekend, Charlotte. As many of you may know, Michael Jordan is the majority owner of the Hornets so that's where the connection with the brand and team comes from. The 2017 All-Star Collection consists of the Air Jordan 31, Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 6 and uses Charlotte Hornets themed colorways. An iridescent purple, teal and green color is incorporated into each sneaker. Additionally, each sneaker features an icy translucent outsole. The Hornets theme is further executed specifically on the 31 with a beehive patter on the upper and a hexagon surrounding the Jumpman logo on the tongue.
Cheap Jordans 2017 is launching three new versions of iconic classic sneakers for NBA All-Star weekend in New Orleans. This Jordan 31 features a black Flyweave upper in a honeycomb texture with iridescent detailing on the midsole, Swoosh, and ankle area. Hornets logos can also be seen on the inner tongues which means that this Jordan 31 may have been designed with the idea that Charlotte would be hosting the 2017 All Star festivities. Nike signature sneakers have proven not to be a valued commodity, and the NBA hosting an All-Star game in New Orleans just a few years ago probably factors into that, too. It's another reminder that Jordan Brand operates separately from Nike, even though they're under the same brand. Who can forget the Jordan commercials featuring Russell Westbrook that took shots at Kevin Durant, a Nike signee.
New Jordans 2016, The new Air Jordan XXX1 is prepared for such shining moments, arriving outfitted in grand fashion with iridescent detailing and a lightweight Flyweave construction. Further prepared for the spotlight, the Air Jordan XXX1 features Flightspeed technology and full-length Zoom Air cushioning. This Jordan 31 features a black Flyweave upper in a honeycomb texture with iridescent detailing on the midsole, Swoosh, and ankle area. The shoes feature an iridescent leather heel panel with a matching woven upper at the forefoot. On this particular model, the area betwwen the forefoot and the toebox is covered with hexagonal shapes in honor of the Hornets. You'll also find the hornets' logo on the inside of the tongue ( since the city is hosting the all star festivities). JB's own logo appears on the quarter panel (Jumpman) and the outside of the tongue (another jumpman inscribed in a hexagon).
