There is nothing difficult process involved in the distillation column process. It all starts with the liquid which needs to be distilled through the feed tray in the column.

The column is divided in two categories called the enriching section and the stripping section. In one section unwanted liquid is collected while in other the condensed product is put back in liquid.

When the heat is needed to transform the liquid in vapour through the reboiler, the vapour gets cooled down through condenser. The process of distillation is done by removing the distilled product from the system once the deposition in the reflex drum is made.
