However, there is a lot of confusion regarding its registration. So, given in this article is a brief description of the registration process of the JEE Advanced. Body: The JEE Advanced is just around the corner, so a lot of aspirants are keen to know the exact registration process. Given below is a brief description of the registration process of this exam. Release of Application Form The application form for the JEE Advanced 2017 will be available online. The registration begins on 28th April 2017, 10:00 IST after the declaration of the JEE Main result. The online registration closes on 2nd May 2017, 17:00 IST. Checking the Eligibility Before filling the form, it becomes absolutely essential to check whether you are eligible to appear for the exam or not. This is because the exam fee is neither transferable nor refundable. There may be instances where the candidate is issued an admit card and clears the JEE Advanced exam. But, during document verification, if there he is not found eligible for admission in IITs or NITs his candidature would be cancelled. The eligibility for JEE Advanced is defined on 5 criterion. The candidate should be eligible according to each of these 5 criteria. Criteria No 1: The candidate should be among the top 220,200 (inclusive of all categories) with a positive score in the Paper 1 of JEE. Criteria No 2: The second criterion adheres to the age limit. The candidate should have been born on or after 1st October 1992. This age limited is relaxed by 5 years for the SC, ST and PwD candidates. Criteria No 3: The candidates can attempt JEE Advanced only 2 times in consecutive years. Anyone who had appeared in 2016 is also eligible. Criteria No 4: The candidate should have appeared for the first time in class 12th examination either in the year 2016 or 2017. Also, the candidates whose class 12th or equivalent board exams results for the academic year 2014-2015 were declared after June 2015, even those are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2017. Criteria No 5: A candidate should not have been admitted in any of the IITs. Also, anyone who has accepted a seat in the IITs in the past is not eligible. The candidate whose admission was cancelled at the IITs is also not eligible. Documents Required Few parts of the list of documents required are common to all, while some are category specific. Mentioned below are the common documents required by all the candidates: 1.The Class 10th certificate if the DOB is mentioned in it or the birth certificate itself.
