Do Not Cancel Your Life Insurance!

I am a life insurance agent and I do it because I love it and I know monetarily what it can do for a family when a loved one is lost due to unforeseen or even foreseen death. I know a lot of people do not own an insurance policy and I also know a lot of people are under insured. There are many people who feel that there is not a need for life insurance.

I have been majorly impacted by death over the past 10 years. All of my family members had insurance to at least to cover burial expenses. This alleviated part of the major stress that comes along with losing someone dear to you. One thing is for sure, being a life insurance agent in this recessionary period has made me encounter more families who have dropped or stopped paying for their life insurance because of job loss. In reality, life insurance is one of a few important bills a person should keep. Protecting your family is what everyone wants to do in case something were to happen to them, Right?

In my opinion, my most important bills are my mortgage, health insurance and life insurance. By paying the mortgage, I keep a roof over my family's head. By paying my health insurance, it will protect me in case I become ill. By paying my life insurance bill, I will make sure my family is covered in case of my premature death. All of my other bills just fall into line. I have started an account called "Paying my bills with coupons" account. This account is used to only pay for my life and health insurance. This account is funded with the money I save using coupons. I make sure the money I save goes into the account and the money is used only for those important bills. It is not a hard task but it takes discipline. You can do it too.

Being an insurance agent, I see and hear it all. There are so many stories, good and bad. Maybe you have insurance or maybe you don't. Maybe you know a friend who needs to get their family insured. There are ways to make sure you are paying your bills by using different avenues such as opening up a separate checking account to pay your major bills. Always remember, a qualified life Power of compounding  agent should be a phone call or email away. I am always available for my clients to guide them to make the right decisions for themselves. I always say, getting life insurance is like a gift or leaving a love letter to your family. Take time, call an agent to get or review your life insurance and you will be glad you did.
