Many of you are planning trips are wandering where to go and thinking about how to take the family there since there will either be no activity for the kids or there will be no activities for the adults. Livigno is a small town near the Italian Alpine boarder and is a very exciting and fun filled town. The town is filled with activities for the whole family even though it is winter or summer. The summer time in Livigno is filled with hiking, fishing, mountain biking and trekking which are some of the most attractive activities the town has to offer the kids will really enjoy the hikes that the town has planned along the know and marked routes. The paths will take you to the mountain peaks of Stelvio and Engadin National park along very lush green valleys. For more experienced adults and children, the area offers a more challenging route which will lead them to other breathtaking sites and landscapes like waterfalls, springs, rivers, lake and glaciers. The forest area surrounding the town is filled will wildlife such as deer, ibex, eagles and marmots which will be seen while summer biking or hiking through the Alpine boarder. The most attractive site that the adults will like is the Valtellina which is an alpine valley which is highly fertile and used for agriculture. The area is used and is popular for the making of wineries and artisanal products. You will be able to enjoy the very tasty food and beverages which are home made in the various farms, vineyards and wineries. The most popular local products in the area are DOP cheese, IGP bresaola, honey and apples.

During the winter time Livigno is very active and fun to be in. The activity that the whole family can enjoy is mainly skiing. Masses of visitors come to Livigno to enjoy and have a good time while skiing. Livigno has some of the famous Italian Ski resorts. the most famous Italian ski resort in Livigno is the Charme Hotel Alexander. This is strategically positioned very close to the Teola Ski lift so the skiers are able to have the maximum fun while having a luxurious stay. Livigno offer the ski and snow activity enthusiast with a variety of activities to enjoy. The ski slope is 110km long and there are 33 ski lifts which is able to transport 460 people per hour, it also has 4 gondolas, 13 anchor lifts and 14 chair lifts. The activities that you and the family will get to enjoy are skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, ice skating, sleigh rides, guided horse riding, snowshoeing, paragliding, snow mobile and driving on snow.
