Donald Trump's fashion failurePosted by catherineivey on April 11th, 2017 US President Donald Trump can add yet another woe to his ever-growing list with the news that Trump Models, which once represented Jerry Hall, Paris Hilton and his own wife, First Lady Melania, has finally closed its doors thanks to a loss of models and staff.

Maggie Rizer, a star of the '90s, took to Instagram in November last year, to explain the political motivations that drove her to walk away from her long standing association with the agency. "As a woman, a mother, an American and a human being, I cannot wake up Wednesday morning being the least bit related to the Trump brand; win or lose," Maggie wrote. The President of Trump Models confirmed the closure of the modelling agency over the weekend. "On the heels of the recent sale of the Miss Universe Organisation, the Trump Organisation is choosing to exit the modelling industry," Corrine Nicolas told the New York Post. "While we enjoyed many years of success, we are focused on our core businesses in the real estate and golf industries and the rapid expansion of our hospitality division," says Corrine. Since then models and agents had been leaving the controversial company in droves, with Trump Model’s former manager Gabriel Ruas Santos-Rocha departing to start his own agency Anti Management. Fellow booker Patty Sicular has launched IconicFocus with former Trump models Beverly Johnson and Carmen Dell’Orefice. American magazine Mother Jones, reported that the agency had a history of employing foreign models, many of whom had been former Miss Universe contestants to work in the US without proper work visas.
