Nearly 40 percent of higher education institutions in US reported seeing declines in international applicants for fall 2017 admissions. Yes, that's true! The divisive political discourse concerning immigration in the Unites States has made an effect on international student's interest in American universities.

The major reasons of international students and their families about studying in US are the perception that the climate is less welcoming to individuals from other countries and the concern that potential changes to student and work visa may hamper employment opportunities. Hence, breaking the dreams of many students who always wished to study abroad in US and settling down.

The Canadian universities and colleges are experiencing an increase in applications from Indian students enrolled at US institutions who are looking for transfer.

According the latest figures from the Institute of International Education, the number of Indian students studying in US has grown for three consecutive years.

For many international students, to study in USA is seen as a pathway to a job in the United States after graduation,. According to policy analysts at the Migration Policy Institute, there is very limited data tracking the transition of international students into the US labor market.

In 2015, a study looked at 116 Indian companies and found that those that had leaders who studied or worked abroad had a competitive advantage.

Other advantages of studying in the US:

The American universities and colleges seek to attract the best students, engineers, scientists, and scholars from all countries and also expose these individuals to a truly cosmopolitan experience. American university are enriched and enlightened by students, researches and teachers from around the world.

There is no doubt that US does have some of the greatest colleges and universities in the world. But this is not the end. You still have many options to look for if you are willing to study abroad.
