Bangalore, the city where modern science and culture blend into each other. This city has become India’s one of the most developed and progressive cities. Popularly known as ‘Silicon valley of India’, this city has the highest concentration of IT companies.  Although it is very popular amongst the techies, this city has something for everyone. Serene lakes, beautiful temples, nerve calming gardens, exceptional night life, this city has many tricks up its sleeve to impress you.

Thanks to its ability to attract talent and tourists, the city is well connected by means of transport. Flights to Bangalore are quite frequent from all the major airports of India. In May 2008, the brand new airport, Kempegowda International Airport, started its operations and is located at a distance of 40 kilometres from the center of the city.  Some of the flights to Bangalore include, Air India, Go Air, Jet Konnect, Jetlite, SpiceJet, Air Asia and Air Vistara. Internationally flights to Bangalore come from New York, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. When it comes to domestic flight tickets, the prices can be as low Rs 2000.

If you want to explore Bangalore in its true sense, you cannot miss its temples. One of its iconic temples is the ISKON temple, a perfect blend of contemporary and traditional art. What makes this temple even more special is that it is not only the abode of God but regularly hosts inspirational lectures and food stalls. If confused about what to eat, look no further than the VV Puram aka food street. It’s a treat for the eyes to see all those different foods from different parts of the country. With ‘pakodas’ getting dipped in the hot oil to come out golden brown or the ‘rotis’ spinning in the air, everything on this street will lure your taste buds.

After the hustle and bustle of the city, you would want to have some peace and what better place to have it than in Cubbon Park? Located at the centre of the business district. Walk along the path of the garden and surround yourself with green friends. Also, visit theVidhana Soudha which is located very close to the park.  Built in 1954, it is not only an incredible piece of architecture but also serves as the legislative chambers of the State Government, and neoclassical Attara Kacheri that will take you back in the pre-independence days. Built in 1864 this structure houses the High Court.

You can be anyone and from any part of the world, this city accepts you with open arms. Loose yourself in the midst of its different charms and experience its diversity. A calm, serene yet very modern and ambitious Bangalore awaits you.
