What Thickness of Quartz Stone is Better for Countertop

The other day, discussed with our colleague about the thickness of Quartz Stone for countertops. What thickness isbetter for countertops?

As we know, there are several kinds of thickness of quartz stone,12mm,15mm,18mm,20mm,30mm, but which is better? In domestic area, many Property developers are prefer to use the 12mm Quartz Stone for countertop to save the cost. However, actually, 12mm Quartz Stone slab is easy to break as Quartz Stone is brittleness itself, and 12mm Quartz Stone will can bear lower impact.

Then which thickness of Quartz Stone is better for countertops,15mm,18mm,20mm or 30mm? as we discussed, and find out, 18mm or 20mm may will be better for the quartz stone to be used for the countertops. As 18mm and 20mm ones is thicker than the 12mm and 15mm ones, so 18mm and 20mm quartz stone could bear more impact, at the meanwhile, 18mm and 20mm is little thinner than the 30mm Quartz Stone, this will make the 18mm or 20mm Quartz Stone to be much lighter than the 30mm Quartz Stone, then will be much safer when there is some impact or concussion. Also, as 18mm or 20mm Quartz Stone is thinner than the 30mm Quartz Stone, so will be easier to be fabricated and could save the cost.
