Top 5 Antivirus Programs

1. Kaspersky - has always been my favorite Antivirus. It is quick to detect new threats and scans very fast while detecting pretty much anything that may be on your system, this AV has always been highly effective in keeping me safe and comes at a great price. Kaspersky is also one of the most commonly updated AV's you can get.

2. BitDefender Antivirus - is ranked high among other Antivirus programs largely because it is effective in detecting Malware and Adware threats along with a very good scan process, the only downside is that the scans can become very slow sometimes. Other than that BitDefender is a great Antivirus and one of the top choices, and lowest prices.

3. F-Secure Anti-Virus - has great detection rates and just like Kaspersky is updated very often. This AV is also exceptional for detecting threats such as adware and malware. The only issue with F-Secure is that it can be pretty slow when doing system scans.

4. McAfee VirusScan - is a very decent program, don't get me wrong. It has great detection rates and is pretty good at picking up on new viruses quick, it's just never quite been my AV of choice. None the less McAfee ranks very well in performance tests and is still a decent AV.

5. Symantec Norton Antivirus - being slightly worse in speed and performance is still one of the top ranked AV's the main thing that makes Norton's good is that the interface is very user friendly while still providing decent protection.
