1.Breakage around the hole caused by thermal shock. Small crack could appear when high temperature molten steel and refractory material get in touch, so it is crutial to improve the termal shock resistance and take measures to prevent the cracks from expanding.There have many kinds of refractory products in our factory. 2.The erosion and impact from molten steel and slags. The erosion and impact resistance abilities of slide gate plate has a big influence on its service life. The erosion is mainly from the Mn, MnO, FeO, CaO in the molten steel and SiO2 from slide gate plate, erosion resistance ability can be improved if the SiO2 content in slide gate plate is reduced. By improving carbon content, the permeation and reaction from molten steel and oxide can be effectively prevented, by adding antioxygen, the oxidation of carbon can be effectively prevented;

3.The abrasion during sliding. Especially when there is already damage on the ladle slide gate plate, the abrasion from the concrete steel will be more serious. So the strength should be improved, meanwhile keep low apparent porosity and smooth surface to reduce the penetration from molten steel. The main effective ways of improving strength and lowering apparent porosity are high pressure forming and vacuum oil immersing.There have many kinds of refractory products in our factory.
