In the center of Italy, is a region called Tuscany, and this region is one of the most romantic places in the entire country. Tuscany is known for its numerous vineyards, valleys, traditions, and cultures. A Tuscany trip is a holiday that will never be forgotten.

Visit the natural hot springs

Tuscany is one of the few places in the world where there are natural hot springs. The water in these springs is never below forty degrees Celsius, but that makes it even better, especially during the winter months. To make this experience even more romantic, a couple can provide their own candle light to surround the hot spring at night, and then romance and magic will fill the air.

Explore the Chianti countryside

The Chianti countryside is filled with vineyards and hills and it is possible to take a drive through the area for an entire day and not see the same place twice. Couples are encouraged to take a picnic lunch or a snack and make stops so that they can eat under the shade of a large tree, while admiring the countryside. Before anyone leaves this area, they will want to stop and taste some wine, because they may find a new favorite while on Tuscan wine tours.

Visit the towers in San Gimignano

San Gimignano used to have at least a hundred towers, which is why it is also known as the town of 100 towers, though only a handful of the towers remain now. However, the towers that are still in place are quite impressive and well worth the journey. The largest standing tower is Torre Grosso which was built in 1311. This tower is 54 meters high and turns the city skyline into a work of art.

Certaldo is a quaint little town and it is filled with small shops, trattorias, and osterias. However, the best thing that couples can do is ride the cable car up into Certaldo Alto. Certaldo Alto is the older part of town and the scenery is breathtaking on the way up, down, and while in the old town itself.

Visit Castiglione dellaPescaia

Castiglione dellaPescaia is a little town on the coast and the area is quite picture perfect. Many couples will love walking around exploring the area before heading to the beach for some time in the sun and the sand. Before leaving this town, everyone should take the time to walk to the old Costello, where they can see amazing panoramic views.

Tuscany is a wonderful area and while people try to see as much as possible of a country when they are visiting, it is recommended that people travel through Tuscany and save the rest of the country for another time. The reason for this is that the beauty of Tuscany cannot be rushed. People will miss too much if they try to see the area in just a day or two and then it wouldn’t be special or fabulous at all.
