Cosmetic Mica Powder is Indeed Safe

Mica is naturally occurring non-toxic silicate mineral that has been used for centuries in cosmetic products, as insulation material in electric cables, and as a filler in cement and asphalt. Though the workers belonging to the cosmetic manufacturing industry are at high risk of mica exposure through inhalation. However, the cosmetic mica powder is safe for the skin as it is a natural mineral makeup that has been used from the time since we have lived in caves.   • Translucent mica powder can be added to the homemade toner for oil control.
