Fibroids are something that is also known as fibromyomas, myomas or leiomyomas. This is something that occurs during the years of childbearing and is also the non-cancerous tumour. This can appear within the muscular wall or inside and outside of the lining of the uterus. This grows from the single muscle cell.

  • Problems in urinating: The fibroids bulge the uterus against the bladder that causes uncomforted and also the need to urinate often.
  • Anaemia: Heavy loss of blood causes anaemia. The symptoms include fatigue, loss of breath and paleness.
  • Premature delivery or miscarriage: Fibroids reduce the blood flow to placenta where you need to compete with the development of the baby.
  • Infertility: The fibroids causes’ interference with the fertilised egg in different ways like egg may try to bury into fibroid which makes the implantation difficult.

The fibroids can be detected using abnormal pap in Parrish where the sound waves create two pictures. The picture of the uterus can also be examined with hysteroscope that can be passed through the neck of the womb. A camera can also be placed at the tip of hysteroscope so that its interiors can be viewed on a monitor.

Many fibroids do not cause any symptom and also doesn’t need any treatment.
