Top 5 Freelance OpportunitiesPosted by Branin on August 11th, 2010 Learn Some Freelancing Websites that Will Put More Money in Your Pocket! There are numerous Freelance websites out there today, websites offering to link you with the the latest employers seeking web developers, writers, programmers, designers, editors, ad sales person or other positions. In this article I will try to explain a few of my favorite freelance websites, I hope you will find something here that helps! 1. Sologig.com is the best freelance website I have found by far, it is generally popular and, it's completely free! there are no project fee's or service payments, on sologig you are able to build your resume, and directly contact your employer(s) with no bidding or hassle necessary! Sologig is just about all you could ask for in a freelance website, and I have been a member myself for 3 months now. 2. Elance is pretty much your average freelance website however it is more commonly used and has a wide range of employers. Elance does charge a service fee ranging from 6.75% to 8.75% however they do not charge any monthly fees or anything else of that nature. Elance works by using the bid system to award the job to the bidder that looks best to the employer, Elance will notify you on new project's via email also. 3. Guru.com is where I would go if I were in need of a freelance project done as an employer. They allow you to really get a good programmer/employee and are a genuine service. The downside is you do have to pay for various membership types. They have a great job search feature and are very safe for making and receiving payments. 4. LimeExchange is a great service for graphic designers, writers or programmers to search along with these other great websites, this has alot of the same features of Elance and only have few fee's and commissions, however posting and registering is free. 5. MediaBistro was one of the first freelance websites I worked for and did so successfully for around 5 months. For all types of freelancers or generally knowledgeable people looking for other online jobs. My first choice admittingly should have been one of the above, but if you use multiple sites this is a great one to include when searching. There are many other freelance websites out there, it's really up to you to decide which features you like best and weigh out your pros and cons in order to choose the best one(s) for you. I thank you for your interest and hope this article has helped. Like it? Share it!More by this author |
