The batteries are about 8 to 10.5 inches long, 2 inches wide and about 1 inch high. The bar code is printed on the back of the battery. The HP laptop battery and model number are printed on the battery. The batteries in this extended call have barcodes starting with 6BZLU, 6CGFK, 6CGFQ, 6CZMB, 6DEMA, 6DEMH, 6DGAL and 6EBVA.
HP recommends that users refer to the company for removal and replacement of their spare laptop batteries. In the meantime, consumers can connect their devices directly to the AC power while a HP battery replacement is in progress.
HP Repairs are urging customers to check their batteries again, even if they have been told they have done it before and are not affected. However, the original battery, which was changed as part of the program announced in June 2016, is not affected by this program expansion. Customers should immediately stop using the affected batteries. Affected HP customers are entitled to a free Hp battery replacement for each affected, verified battery.
