Luxury Bath Hotel

My wife Anne and I arrived by car in the famous Royal Crescent in Bath which comprises a number of Georgian town houses which were built in a curved shape. Towards the centre of the parade of houses is The Royal Crescent Hotel which is a luxury Bath hotel. We pulled up to the hotel entrance door to be met by a member of staff who removed our luggage and dealt with the parking of our car-a bonus in the centre of Bath.

Upon entering the entrance hall to this luxury Bath hotel, which has a black and white tiled floor, we were warmly greeted by reception and quickly shown to our junior suite which was expensively furnished with antiques. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and we were informed can be purchased. Air conditioning is present in all forty five bedrooms.

This luxury Bath hotel has so much character and the staff were both professional and personable. The hotel overlooks a park at the front and there is a beautiful garden at the rear of the hotel where we enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon tea-do not miss the experience!

This luxury Bath hotel has a delightful spa known as The Bath House where you can enjoy a treatment and the heated indoor swimming pool-it felt as if we were swimming in a chapel! There is a well equipped gym if you are feeling energetic and I dare you to get straight out of the wooden hot tub into the cold tub.

The Royal Crescent Hotel owns a vintage wooden motor launch located on a water a few miles away which is available for up to six of the hotel's guests to enjoy an evening trip accompanied by champagne (and a knowledgeable skipper) . We decided to join the boat trip and the hotel arranged a taxi and hamper containing the champagne and titbits to take us to the water. The boat was beautiful and the ninety minute trip was unforgettable-not least because Anne and I were the only guests on board so we had a full bottle of champagne to ourselves and as we were not driving we drank it all. We were returned to The Royal Crescent Hotel by taxi and then enjoyed a delightful dinner in the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is most conveniently located within a few minutes walking distance of the shops and special places to visit.

The Royal Crescent Hotel is indeed a luxury Bath hotel offering the highest standards of service in a most spectacular building-you will not be disappointed.

Enjoy!
