The Frangipani Hotel In Bequia

When you go to The Frangipani Hotel in Bequia in the Caribbean, book the Air conditioned Deluxe Room with a great view of Admiralty Bay.

It is well equipped with a bathroom, a fridge and comfortable bed, but thanks to sea breezes you might find the air conditioning a non essential.

The food at the restaurant is terrific with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and the Thursday Night Jump Up is not to be missed if only for the huge buffet of local dishes like curry shrimp salad, breadfruit and conch.

The bar staff couldn't be friendlier, and you need to try some of the specialty drinks from the menu that include local spices. The bar staff will give you great recommendations for other restaurants, beaches and water taxis.

The crowd varies from hotel residents to the occasional yacht crowd moored in for the night and taking in some food and drink at the restaurant.

The location near town helps as the Belmont walkway can take you to various restaurants and you're no more than 10 minutes walk to downtown and the ferry dock to St. Vincent.

There's a great, attentive staff on deck and you get a nice mosquito net for precaution, so you needn't worry about either security or bugs.

If you want to look at a photograph or see more destinations then go to http://www.worldwidevacationspots.com/articles/2/1/Frangipani-Hotel-in-Bequia/Page1.html you will not be disappointed.

Just bear in mind this is not a five star de luxe, as you might find in Europe or the Far East. You won't get bath robes, or 24 hour service. Hotels in Bequia, as in many parts of the less well known Caribbean, are just the same. Its a clean place to stay with a great atmosphere.

The Frangipani is a great place to introduce you to Bequia. Centrally located, great price and good food.
