How to prepare for counselling?

It takes great efforts to get to the stage of counselling. Once you have reached this stage you have to prepare yourself for the next step in the process. This is an important step in securing a seat in the top B Tech colleges in Rajasthan such as Poornima Group of Colleges.  

You will be called for counselling by the board or university. At this point you will be allotted a college and course.

There will be a list of colleges and branches that will be available to you, based on which you will be asked to make a choice. If you belong to the reserved category, you will be given preference while allotting seats.

It is important to note that candidates are required to attend the counselling session in person and a guardian is allowed to accompany the candidate. Remember to be confident and talk in an easy and composed manner. Among the things to remember to carry with you are your original certificates and mark sheets for verification by the concerned authorities. Please remember that if you have submitted your documents to one institution and you wish to appear for a counselling session to another institute you can do so. Make sure you get a letter from the institution that you have already been admitted to, stating that the certificates are with the institution and you are producing the photo copies.

Rescheduling of your counselling appointment is also possible within the counselling period. Do note that rescheduling comes with the huge risk of losing out on the college of your choice. Before you committee to a college or a stream make sure you have all the information you need to make the right decision.
