Parisian Secret :- This is one of my most loved Paris chapels, both for its design, which is a charming blend of renaissance and gothic, and as an understanding into Paris' history: it is home to the hallowed place of Saint Geneviève, supporter holy person of Paris, who spared the city from intrusion by Attila the Hun in 451. Inside is a grand sixteenth century stone rood screen, potentially planned by François 1er's designer Philippe Delorme, and a huge ornate podium. The lavish neo-gothic hallowed place, exchanged here when the connecting nunnery church of St Geneviève was obliterated in 1807, is encompassed by ex-voto plaques. Join this visit with the Panthéon on a similar square.
