Over time every carpet requires a deep cleaning effort. Carpets are an essential component in our daily life. We use them literally every day but we often forget to clean them in regular interval of time. Or sometimes we even just do not bother to do it.  Just imagine you turn around one day and you notice that your carpets are a few shade darker than the original colour. This can quite embarrass if that same carpet gets noticed by your lovely guests. Look below at the various methods through which you can deep clean your carpet.

There are various types of carpet present in the market. The quality of carpet and also the fabric that is being used in carpet these days is quite extraordinary. These fabrics come in many different but vivid colours and designs. Due to mass improvement in the quality and design of the carpets, it is quite hard to clean those so called fancy carpets. These carpets usually have a pet, coffee, wine, hair, rust, soil and washing soap stains. We should never forget all the dirt that is present in our house is mostly coming from the carpet as it has not been deep cleaned in recent times. So look at the few steps through which you can deep clean your carpet effectively.

Things you require:

  1. Salt
  2. Borax
  3. White vinegar
  4. A vacuum
  5. A carpet steam cleaner
  6. Dry cloth for blotting

Method:

  • Try starting out with old spot cleaning tools and then may move to the more heavy duty tools as the cleaning process advances.
  • First, switch on the vacuum and then start extracting the dust, hair and other particles that are present on the surface of the carpet.
  • Vacuum the carpet vigorously in various directions and make sure you are investing notable time in this process.
  • Mix a quarter cup of salt, borax and vinegar so that it looks like a fine smooth paste.
  • Apply this cleaning paste to deep tough stains present on the carpet.
  • Make sure you are allowing the paste to sit on the carpet for several hours so that it dries up completely.
  • As soon as it dries then vacuum it away.
  • Switch on the steam cleaner. If you do not have one then you can rent one of the machines or you can hire end of lease professionals for this bothersome task.
  • You can skip the carpet shampoo if you want as the steam cleaning will take care of the moist part.
  • If you rinse your carpet with hot water alone then the most of the residue and stains gets washed off easily.
  • You just have to use boiling hot water.
  • If you have very soiled carpet then you can add a half cup of vinegar in 3 gallons of water for ultimate deep cleaning of the carpet.
  • Deep the carpet using the machine then leave the carpet so that it gets dry.
  • Once you are sure that carpet is almost dry then you can start placing your furniture back where it belonged to.
  • To avoid stains in future make sure you are using aluminium foil under the legs of furniture.
  • Finally, let it get dry for some hours so that you can start walking on it once again.

You can do this or you can hire skilled professionals for cleaning your lovely carpet. As cleaning requires commitment and focus, on and off the field. You do not want to clean your carpet all day.
