BOTOX: IT’S SO EXPENSIVE!!

Cosmetic surgeries are often considered to be a less expensive alternative to the plastic surgeries. One downside is that the end results are not as dramatic and powerful as they might by in case of a typical surgery. Manypeople consider this downside to be an upside because they can test the end results before taking the permanent plunge. However, some people still question the expenses involved in the complete Botox treatment when the cost of the injections run between and per unit. Some might think that this is a very good price but the final costing after the last session lies somewhere between 0 and 00. So, what is the reason behind the Botox being so expensive? When the procedure itself does not take more than 15 minutes to perform. While 00 is still less than compared to the permanent surgery, it still is a significant amount if it has to be paid again to maintain the results.

REASONS OF BOTOX BEING EXPENSIVE:

As with anything which is in rage, there are several reasons for Botox being expensive. Firstly, the cost of Botox is variable due to several reasons, some of which are listed below:

  1. Market Saturation: Market saturation plays a very important role not only in the cost. In a market, the surgeons compete with each other and this is a driving factor which determines the cost of Botox; it can go up or down depending upon the number of surgeons performing the procedure.
  2. Experience: the surgeons who have who have years of experience behind them usually cost more than the surgeons who are just starting.
  3. Expertise: Surgeons are always learning new things, even if they are 90 years old they’ll be enrolled in some courses. Cosmetic Surgeons who have taken specialised Botox training courses are able to charge more for their services because they usually get better results than inexpert surgeons.
  4. Number of procedures: the volume of the treatment and the number of procedures greatly affect the overall cost of the treatment.

There are many other variables involved in the cost. When you pay for the procedure, you are not only paying for the vial of Botox. You are also paying for the administration of the injection, surgeon’s expertise and all the facility management.

SAFETY FIRST:

In most cases, the cost of Botox is worth it. It has been observed that the people offering deals on Botox compromise on the safety of the patient. It doesn’t mean that every deal is shady, but you need to do your research before signing the bills. If you are paying a higher fee for a procedure that is done on you face, then you should be reassured that you are getting it done by a medical professional who is an expert in the field.
