Everyone likes to be fit be healthy. However, one should also know certain facts about health. These facts concern the common things one does on a daily basis. It is better to be aware of these facts. We discuss five simple truths you should have knowledge of.   
 
1.Being optimistic is a healthy habit.
 
You should understand the mind is the root cause of any ailment. A positive frame of mind can have wonderful effects. Being optimistic in life can make you happier. Clinical tests on heart patients prove that an optimistic person has less chances of suffering a heart attack. The brain is the controlling organ for the entire body. Keeping the brain happy can have positive results on your overall health. By being positive, we do not suggest you to fake happiness. It should come from within. This is very important to lead a healthy life.  
 
2.Cash vending machines are as dirty as public toilets.
 
Right from childhood, parents advise us to wash our hands after going to the toilet. Even in public toilets, you have separate washing facilities. If I say that you should wash your hands after using a cash vending machine, most of you would drive me to the mental asylum. Scientists have conducted research on this subject. Results show that the key pads on the cash vending machines contain similar bacteria to those found in public toilets. Next time, whenever you use a cash vending machine, use a hand sanitizer as well. You should teach this in schools as one of the healthy habits to follow.  
 
3.Compared to men, women are more likely to suffer from a broken heart.
 
People usually associate a broken heart with a failed love affair. In actuality, it is not so entirely. There are other reasons for a broken heart syndrome. In this condition, there is an excessive release of the hormone, adrenaline resulting in a heart failure. This is due to excessive shock or an overwhelming sense of fear or pain. Research has shown that men are strong enough to bear these shocks. Women are more susceptible than men are in this regard.
 
4.There are less than 1% of diseases causing bacteria in the world.
 
You will be surprised at the number of bacteria surrounding us in our day-to-day life. In fact, a healthy human skin specimen has more than a thousand different types of bacteria. The majority of the bacteria are in fact, good for your overall health. Less than 1% of the bacteria are harmful. You should now stop putting the blame on the bacteria for you not having a healthy life.  
 
5.Stretching your muscles before a run can actually reduce your endurance power.
 
Medical experts always say that warming up before a race is a healthy habit. Yes, it can help you to loosen your muscles, reduce the tension, and enable you to run faster. However, this is not true for endurance racing. Stretching your muscles before an endurance race can make your body less efficient to last out the entire race.
