7 tips for Making Healthy Food Recipes

1.    Don't fry! Give healthy cooking methods a try

Cooking methods such as baking, grilling, roasting, stir-frying preserve flavors and nutrients preserve the crunch of vegetables and make meat tender and juicier.  

2.    Swap unhealthy dishes with yummy salads

5.    Substitute fruit juices with real fruit

We all love juices but do remember that packaged juices have no healthy fruit fibre and instead are loaded with sugar. So, ditch the packaged beverage, and eat the whole fruit instead—they have healthy fibre that keep you full longer, and vitamins and other nutrients that may be missing in juices.

6. Use fresh herbs and spices

Powdered seasonings and spices usually have additives in them. They may also be contaminated or adulterated. So, why not replace them with fresh herbs and spices? They are loaded with great flavors and are more natural than the packed ones.
 
7.    Substitute simple carbs with complex carbs

Refined flour is used extensively in cakes, cookies, white bread and most other packaged foods. Since they do not have fibre and raise the risk of diabetes alongside other preventable diseases, consuming refined flour is quite unhealthy for the body. Moreover, they have a very little nutritional value attached to them as they lack essential dietary fibre. Therefore, it is wise to choose complex carbs like whole grains, cereal and lentils. These healthy carbs can be incorporated in various tasty and flavorful recipes.
