C=186 emailing error after updating to Enterprise 17.0?

Error C-186

It specifically happens is that from within an Invoice, they click Email, and the C=186 error pops up. They hit the OK button on the error message, and a screen appears asking for the email address and password so that QB can send through the email account. However, even when the correct address and password is entered, that same email/pw screen pops up over and over, and it says the email address or password is incorrect.

Causes

  • QuickBooks tried to add a new item to a pick list but the item text was too long.

  • Problems adding information to a pick list.

  • Try adding name again this time make name shorter.
