Use your old T-shirt

Is your favorite T-shirt giving up on you? Has it started to fit too tight or is fading away with every wash? It doesn’t matter what kind of shirt you have. If you have the eye for it, it will look beautiful as a pillowcase! In such matter, graphic T-shirts look quirky and trendy as a pillowcase on sofas. We will tell you how it’s made.

Step 1: Lay the T-shirt on a table and cut it two from the seams on the sides. Now we have separated the front side of the shirt and back of the shirt. Cut around the graphic area of the front side of the shirt and leave as much wide space as you can. You will end up with almost an irregular square shape.

Step 2: Now that you have an irregular square pattern, fold that cloth four times keeping the graphic facing front. Bring scissors and cut a 2”x 2” square out of the top right corner through all the layers of the cloth.

Step 3: Unfold the cloth and cut strips of 3/4” wide and 2” long on all the four sides. Start from one corner to make a strip and neatly make it till the other end.

Step 4:Take the other part of the shirt (back of the shirt) and repeat from Step 1 -3.

Step 5: These fringes type strips will serve as a knot in tying the two cloth pieces together. Leave about five to six knots to fill in the pillow with cotton.

Step 6: Tie the remaining loose ends in a knot and your new pillow is ready!

Step 1: Spread the fabric and place the pillow in its center. Fold your pillow from two sides one by one and you will be left with a pillow folded by upholstery on two sides.

Step 2: Fold the fabric on the remaining two sides into a triangle like we do in gift wrapping.

Step 3: Bring the two triangles in the middle and tie a knot and you are done!
