Google Chrome, Pop-ups and Malicious Ads

If you see some of these problems using Chrome browser of Google, that’s meant unwanted programs or malware are installing in your computer

Popup ads do not go away
Changes your Chrome homepage or search engine or is not set to Google
Continue to Unwanted Chrome Extensions or Toolbar.
You are targeting strange websites
Here are some steps you can get rid of unwanted software. In the future, malware can only be used to download files or sites that you know are safe.

Step 1: Removal of those unwanted programs from Google Chrome (Windows Users)

When using a Windows computer, the Google Cleanup Tool scans your computer on suspicious programs and allows you to remove them. Additional information about the programs will be removed

If you are using a Mac or Linux computer, go to step 2
Open the Chrome Cleanup Tool on your Windows computer's website.
Click Download Now
Read the terms of service and click Accept and Download.
Once the file is downloaded, you can see below the file name (chrome_cleanup_tool.exe)
Windows asks if you want to use the file. Click on drive
The Chrome Cleanup Tool scans your computer and shows you a list of malware detected.
Select Unsubscribe
Chrome opens a new tab and you are asked to restore the settings. Click Reset

Step 2: Remove unwanted programs (all computers)

If you have purchased or downloaded anti-virus software, start the program to find and remove malware.
You can also use malware bytes program which detects Chrome malware that can remove your Chrome data cleanup.
