Different types of external and internal doors

Doors are always installed to homes, offices or any commercial buildings because they protect the dwellers from hot sun rays, rain, wind, etc. Strangers cannot easily enter homes or any commercial building if the door is shut. The doors should be constructed using solid materials so that they remain intact for many years. They are usually made of wood, while some internal doors are made of material such as plastic or any other metals. The doors of commercial building are made of metals. The contractor is engaged in installing doors and also providing repair services if necessary. They also provide replacement services under some circumstances.

Doors are broadly classified into external doors and internal doors.

External doors

The external doors are usually larger in size than the doors of the other rooms. The different types of external doors constructed by the contractors include hardwood doors, softwood door, external French doors, composite doors, garage doors, external stable doors, etc. The grand entrances are usually constructed to large buildings. They consist of single doors or double doors. They are made of solid materials such as oak, veneered oak etc. Such doors comprise of sidelights, double panels, etc. They are constructed using different patterns and designs. The grand entrances are also of three types such as double-front doors, front doors with sidelight, and double-front door with sidelight. The external hardwood doors are usually pre-glazed, comprise of external hardwood sidelights, and are solid-paneled or unglazed etc. The external softwood doors are pre-finished doors or unglazed doors. The external doors are made of different types of materials such as softwood, oak, hardwood, stable, and different bi-fold types.

Internal doors

The internal doors are unfinished, pre-finished, primed or veneered oak doors.Different types of internal doors are available such as folding sliding doors, wenge internal doors, white internal doors, fire doors, pre-hung internal doors, hardwood internal doors etc. The internal room dividers are divided into white room dividers, oak room dividers, hardwood room dividers. They are usually internal sliding doors that are constructed for hotels, bedrooms, etc.

The internal folding doors are the doors that can be folded and are oak internal folding doors, white folding siding doors, oak internal folding siding doors etc. They are constructed for large buildings or hotels. The internal doors also include internal bi-fold doors, fire doors, blanks, etc.

The dealer or the contractor also supplies door parts such as the door frames, skirting, door hardware materials, UPVC windows, etc.
