Many thought pole dancing is just a fashion, sure to come and go, however, we all are well-aware that pole dancing is here for a long haul as it can definitely change your body in an amusing way. Certainly, this dance form is a women-dominated sport and many Pole studios in Northcote are for women only, although studios offer co-ed classes for those men who are keen on trying an attempt.

From the club to the studio, here is what you need to know about the rapidly growing fitness trend.

Anyone can do it

There is nothing required to be able to do it. If you come into pole dancing from a gymnastic background, you will advance more quickly, but it is not required. As long as you have a good teacher, trainer and a good studio, you can become excellent.

Two caveats: Injuries and biases

Of course, injuries are a concern. If you have injuries you should surely let know your instructor before class, but there is usually a modification for anything. It is different for each person, so you have come and experience how it affects you in a tolerable way.

Start with the intro class

No matter, even if you're a gymnast, dance or circus performer, intro to pole classes are so important. The reason why intro classes are necessary is simply to get students comfortable and to open their minds to this new form of expression.

Don't be intimidated

We all know, saying is easier than done. But the classes at Northcote Pole Studio are slowly paced, so you would not have a hard time following along the moves. Anyone can pole dance. If you feel intimidated, you're not alone. Most of the people in classes are same as you. Introduce yourself to other people in the class, it helps to break the ice and settle the nerves.

What to wear

This is not the time to break out your loose sweats. Your skin needs to be exposed and touching to the pole that helps you in making a strong grip. Dress comfortable clothes that you would wear to the gym. Shorts are good choices for this and for footwear you can wear shoes or barefooted.

Beware of burn pole

Think of it as a battle for a job well done. Pole burn is a real inevitable thing and of the dancing is painful it means you're doing right. As you continue to train, you'll build a pain tolerance in yourself.

It is generally recommended to take the intro class three to five times, or until you feel like you have a firm grasp of the basics, before joining the beginner classes. Read more… http://www.poleprincess.com.au/fairfield-studio/
