Independent opinions regarding an employee’s disability status and provide comment on their functional abilities and/or limitations. This includes the coordination of physical and/or mental health assessments.

Recommendations are made regarding rehabilitation, treatment and other case management issues relevant to the specific referral. In complex cases, a multi-specialty physician may be required for the case. The purpose of the exam is to determine the nature and extent of an injury. The findings of the examination are documented in a formal written report that address specific questions associated with the diagnosis and treatment.
