With more than 2800 escape room games on this globe with new ones coming every single day with interesting ideas and mysteries. This is becoming a trend and a lot of people are actually showing their interests toward this. Escape room games give the player an environment and experience to live in a real-life fantasy. Depending on the theme or design, players choose what they find most interesting. The rapidly evolving escape room industry is adopting practices from engineering, theater, movies and coming up with some of their own designs and ideas.

Theme.
Having a theme decided which is popular in history or current famous events, wars, space, medieval times or legendary times etc. The themes are extremely important to catch up the audience. The puzzle itself become more interesting if the environment is authentic regarding the theme.


Hire the best.
Hire a few people who have expertise in puzzle designing and of course a good writer for the story. Have a few engineers design the logics of your room and equipment like, Cameras, automatic doors, light controls and sounds, Interior designers can create themes which will excite your visitors to come and play even more. Invest a little in your escape room games and good results will surely come.


Playtime limit.
The game should be 45 to an hour long. A thirty or less than that can be too short to play as well as exceeding an hour can be irritating too. Too long in a single room based game might drive the interest or enthusiasm away.


Let players win.
Designing a really hard game or an impossible experience might be good for some people, but when we talk generally, then it doesn’t really apply. If players are succeeding or winning and solving their way to the top, they will certainly be more interested. Players should feel that they have a fighting chance if you know what I mean. Make them loose too sometimes. Don’t get too easy as well.

Rewards.
Rewards are a great way to keep the player moving and coming back to your game. Place rewards or unlockable for stages and present them with a grand game ending reward as well. If a player realizes that they are going to win something, then they will surely play it and come back over and over.

Field testing.
Once your design is complete, do play it yourself and test that everything works and is in order so the players won't be disturbed once they are in. If any mishap happens, the quality and name of your company will drop.

Charging.
Charge your customers for about 30 to 40£ per person for a single game play. Too much charge can cause the customer to think that whether this is worth their hard earned cash or not. Too less charge can make them think whether the quality is low or it might waste their time. Stay in between and charge a normal rate. Staying subtle in such events is necessary.
