Food is not more just a necessity these days. Restaurant and take away culture has exploded and is continuing to grow at an exponential rate. This rapid growth of this industry has resulted in eateries popping up in nearly every other neighbourhood, and new cuisines are being discovered more often than you know. But the popularity of these unique cuisines hasn’t really put the brakes on traditional Asian cuisines. On the contrary, people who are accustomed to Western food love the uniqueness and distinct flavours of Asian food. Every now and then, they visit an Asian food restaurant in Mornington to have some nice dishes and pleasure their taste buds.

But have you ever wondered why traditional Asian food is so strikingly different from its Western counterparts? Well, the all mighty difference between Asian and Western food is the pairing of ingredients.

Thai Preparation

In Western culture, cooks tend to use ingredients of more or less the same flavour in their food while their Asian counterparts do exactly the opposite. They never use ingredients which share somewhat similar flavours. The more different, the better.

Asian diet is different to that of Western ones

Asian diet is all about improving eating habits and spread wellness, and it's been proven time and time again that Asian food does actually improve one's health. If you are serious about improving your health and you want to incorporate an Asian diet, here are some rules that you should follow:-

Use plates of smaller sizes

Small size plates mean smaller portions of food; it is as simple as that. By not using bigger and deeper plates, you are ensuring that you don’t overfill yourself. Not only do smaller plates look visually appealing but you will eat small portions of the food.

Increase your soup intake

While in Western culture, soup is seen more of an appetiser, it is a vital cog in Asian cuisine. Asian soup is different from the rest because it consists of lots of vegetables. Even a small amount is enough to fill you. You will intake lots of minerals and vitamins which is obviously good for your health.

Don’t take too many drinks during a meal

Sure, you might have seen it in fancy movies that people usually have a glass of wine or other drinks with their meal which is a wrong thing to do. If you want your digestive system to work efficiently, limiting your liquid intake other than any kind of tea is imperative.

Eating a dessert every day after dinner is not that important

Even if you have a sweet tooth, it doesn’t mean that you will have to have a dessert every day. If you have to have something sweet, prefer to have fruits.

So these are some of the many Asian diet rules that you should follow. Every now than then, you can always go to a restaurant to try Thai food in Mornington. Unlike Western junk food, Thai cuisine is not only delicious but also extremely healthy as well.
