Keeping groundwater, waterways, and reservoirs pollution-free is critical to the health and safety of the environment, especially to humans, plants, and animals. Hence, federal and state agencies often come up with ways to observe these resources to ensure that they are protected, especially when they are near areas of redevelopment, businesses, or construction that may introduce pollution and contaminants to them.
